Allianz Cornhill is seeking to boost its claims management capabilities by deploying Colossus software from the Computer Sciences Corporation.

Colossus is claims management software, produced and developed by CSC. The software house says the system allows insurers to provide a more accurate service when paying bodily injury claims.

“Colossus will provide support to our claims handlers in assessing general damages and introduce a consistent approach across the company,” said Allianz claims manager Harry Rule.

Allianz has purchased a licence to use the system after carrying out a six-month pilot in Birmingham, Bristol and Leeds.

Now Allianz will use the Colossus package to process all its bodily injury claims over the coming year.
