Commercial chief becomes the latest figure to exit AXA since Blanc's reshuffle

Head of specialist markets at AXA Commercial, Mike Phillips, has left the business.

Phillips follows distribution director Keith Hector out the door following new commercial head Amanda Blanc’s shake-up of the business.

Phillips was previously director property owners and brokers in 2007.

Blanc’s main appointments are mostly people she has worked with before – Alisdair Stewart and David Williams in her previous role at AXA, and Matthew Reed at Towergate. Furthermore, 110 jobs are to go as part of the restructure.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
