Brokerbility has announced that Cooke & Mason is its latest member to get chartered status.

Brokerbility wants all of its members to get chartered status by 2014.

“Being a chartered insurance broker means that customers know they can trust us and that they can count on us to deliver on our promises to them with a superior level of service,” said Brokerbility chairman Ashwin Mistry.

“What’s more, with the UK experiencing a severe skills shortage, it’s important that Brokerbility and other chartered brokers reach out to those talented young people who may not have considered a career in insurance.  This is a great industry so let’s make sure everyone knows about it”.

Chartered Insurance Institute chief executive Sandy Scott said: “Brokerbility is to be congratulated for embracing the challenges of professionalism and press ahead with its vision of having all its members become chartered.

“As well as encouraging new talent to the sector such a commitment sends a clear message to its staff, its customers and its trading partners that it is an organisation operating to the highest standards of technical competency and ethical behaviour. “

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
