Current chief executive of Markel International, Jeremy Cooke, is to join broker Marsh as chief executive of its wholesale broking and underwriting management group.
The appointment is effective from 1 June 2003, from when he will report to the vice chairman of Marsh, Peter Egan.
Cooke will be responsible for Victor O'Schinnerer & Co and Crump Insurance Services in the US, in addition to Price Forbes in the UK; and Encon Group in Canada.
