Cooper Gay has hired two new divisional directors to strengthen its London downstream energy team.

Neil Jurd joins from Alesco Risk Management Services where he led the onshore broking team. He has spent 20 years procuring, placing and managing downstream energy and power accounts in Brazil, Ecuador, Europe, the Caribbean and the US.

Jon Parker also recently moved to Cooper Gay’s energy team from GCFac in London, where he was a Senior Vice President within the global property division. He has 20 years’ experience in the London market, delivering solutions for both onshore energy and power generation clients with a specific focus on Latin America.

Both senior hires are part of Cooper Gay’s on-going strategy of enhancing its London-based energy expertise.

In addition, four senior executives have joined the upstream team over the past six months.
