Graham Hawkins takes up new role

Cunningham Lindsey has promoted Graham Hawkins as princial specialist to its environmental solutions team.

Hawkins will lead a team of 80 licensed environmental loss adjusters and consultants handling property and liability claims resulting from environmental incidents.

His team handle claims ranging from leaking oil tanks in domestic properties to hydrocarbon and chemical spills, asbestos pollution and radioactive leaks.

Hawkins said: "Claims relating to environmental incidents can be very complex and need careful and detailed investigation. The recent highly publicised catastrophes in the Gulf of Mexico and Hungary have helped to raise awareness of the need to adequately cover all environmental liabilities."

Hawkins reports to Alan Vallance, complex loss director at Cunningham Lindsey.

Vallance said: "I am delighted to appoint Graham to this role and have full confidence that his leadership of the team will build on our existing successes."
