McGovern to form safety, health and environmental team
Insurance law firm DAC Beachcroft Scotland has appointed John McGovern as a partner in its Glasgow office.
McGovern, who is the past president of the Glasgow Bar Association and an expert in criminal law, procedure and advocacy, will set up a new safety, health and environmental team.
He joins the firm after 15 years of running his own practice in the city.
DAC Beachcroft Scotland regional senior partner Gilbert Anderson said: “We are delighted to welcome John to the firm. He is a lawyer of immense experience and undoubted quality who will greatly enhance the seamless claims and risk management service we are able to offer both insurer and corporate clients in Scotland.”
McGovern said: ”This appointment gives me an excellent opportunity to develop regulatory services across Scotland for DAC Beachcroft’s wide range of clients, working closely alongside colleagues I have long admired from the former Andersons Solicitors LLP. I am very excited to be joining the firm.”
