Law firm DAC Beachcroft has appointed catastrophic injury specialist Lea Brocklebank as a partner in its claims solutions group.

Brocklebank, who will be based in DAC Beachcroft’s Winchester office, has more than 20 years’ experience in defending high value/complex personal injury claims, particularly involving traumatic brain injury, subtle brain injury, chronic pain and spinal injuries. She joins from Bond Pearce, where she was the lead partner for liability claims across all its offices.

A former president of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers, Brocklebank is also an experienced mediator, having been accredited as a mediator by CEDR, the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, since 2005. She is also an Advisory Council member and panel mediator for Trust Mediation, the national not-for-profit personal injury mediation service.

DAC Beachcroft’s practice head Duncan Rutter (pictured) said: “We’re delighted to welcome Lea to the firm. She is highly regarded in her field by peers and clients alike, as acknowledged in Chambers & Partners, the legal directory, which names her as one of only four lawyers in the top tier for personal injury work in the south.

“Her wealth of experience in handling catastrophic injury claims will be a significant boost for DAC Beachcroft’s already market-leading national catastrophic injury team.”
