Insurance legal giant merges with Andersons Solicitors

Scotland

DAC Beachcroft has launched into the Scottish market after merging with Andersons Solicitors to form DAC Beachcroft Scotland.

The merger is designed to expand DAC’s reach, attract new business, improve client service and give a consistent approach to claims across England, Scotland and Wales.

DAC Beachcroft Scotland will have nine partners and 18 lawyers in offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Andersons’ chairman, Gilbert Anderson, will become DAC Beachcroft Scotland senior partner.

DAC Beachcroft senior partner Simon Hodson said: “We are delighted to be launching DAC Beachcroft Scotland, whose team shares the same dedication to client care, business relationships and quality service as all our DAC Beachcroft locations.

“This move enables us to provide our insurance clients with an even more distinctive, full-service offering while also allowing us to service our growing corporate client base, many of which have operations north of the border.”

Anderson said: “We are very excited about the opportunities that this merger will bring for both firms. Andersons and DAC Beachcroft share the same ethos and commitment to being premier providers of legal services to the insurance industry in their respective jurisdictions.

“We in Scotland are justly proud of our distinctive legal system. This merger will enable the firm to offer cross-border legal services to insurers throughout the UK and I firmly believe that it will not only be good for our insurance clients but also for Scotland.”
