Jeremy Haynes joins insurance practice at accounting and advisory firm

Accounting and consulting firm Deloitte has hired former RSA executive Jeremy Haynes as a partner in its insurance practice.

In his new role at Deloitte, Haynes will provide actuarial and underwriting services to commercial lines insurers and reinsurers.

He was previously director of insurance risk and portfolio pricing at RSA group. Before that, he was director of underwriting, risk and legacy for RSA’s UK business.

He has also worked for fellow insurer Zurich and actuarial firm Bacon & Woodrow.

Haynes is a fellow at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and has more than 23 years’ experience in actuarial, underwriting and risk roles.

Deloitte insurance partner Gurpreet Johal said: “[Haynes] has a huge amount of industry experience and is recognised as one of the leading experts in his field.

“His appointment strengthens our team at a time when one of the key challenges insurers face is ensuring underwriting discipline with the competitive market, data and technology constraints that exist today.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
