DLG welcomes being part of working group

Direct Line Group (DLG) has confirmed that it is one of the three general insurance firms the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has asked to be involved in its thematic review of complaints handling.

DLG will join a working group of 15, including three insurers, that will examine complaints handling in financial services. The results will shape the outcome of the regulator’s review.

Chief customer officer Darrell Evans said: “We look forward to joining the working group set up to help the regulator better understand the different approaches and processes across the industry to complaint handling.

“This will enable us to make recommendations to the regulator and ultimately inform the FCA’s policy going forward.”

DLG stressed that the review is not in any way connected to complaints handling results.
