Electrical Contractors’ Insurance Company expands business development team

The Electrical Contractors’ Insurance Company has appointed Gary Fricker as business development executive.

Fricker will report to Alastair Torbet, ECIC’s group sales and marketing director.

He joins ECIC from HSBC, where he was relationship head for major accounts.

Previously he was southern regional director for Heath Lambert.

ECIC group sales and marketing director Alastair Torbet said: “Due to the strength of our specialist offering to the contracting sector, I am delighted to be able to bring a candidate of Gary’s calibre into the business, and look forward to working with him here at ECIC.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
