Allianz has announced that Roy Hebburn is to retire from his role as divisional claims manager (technical) after 44 years service.

Hebburn currently heads up the technical discipline with responsibility for claims cost control, technical quality, spend, reserving, counter fraud activity and compliance for all retail and commercial claims.

Allianz motor and casualty claims manager Martin Saunders will succeed Hebburn when he retires at the end of July.

Hebburn said: “The 44 years I have spent at Allianz have been hugely rewarding and I have thoroughly enjoyed my career. During this time, I have witnessed many changes and I count myself as extremely fortunate to have been employed by a progressive organisation which took a long-term view throughout and actively developed its staff. It has been a privilege to play my part and contribute to Allianz’s sustained success.”

Allianz claims director Graham Gibson said: “There are few people in the industry that have had such a long and illustrious career as Roy and his contribution to Allianz and the wider insurance industry has been enormous and he will be greatly missed."
