Genevieve Ahinful will help to support portfolio development in the UK and Ireland

Equinox Global has appointed Genevieve Ahinful as senior underwriter.

The Lloyd’s cover holder specialising in trade credit insurance said Ahinful will play an important part in supporting portfolio development in the UK and Ireland, at a time when the company has doubled its size.

Ahinful joins Equinox from Arthur J Gallagher UK, where she was an associate director of credit and political risks, responsible for advising and supporting large multinationals, corporates and banks on risk transfer and credit management.

Prior to this she was with Rattner Mackenzie Limited as a broker and has also held roles at Aon Ltd and Euler Hermes.

Equinox Global chief executive Mike Holley said: “We are very pleased to start 2014 by welcoming Genevieve to the team. During 2013 Equinox grew significantly both geographically and by premium income.

“We will continue to see profitable growth throughout 2014 and Genevieve, with her wealth of experience and market knowledge, will be an important addition as we develop further opportunities in the UK and Ireland.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
