Simon Egerton hired by Sutcliffe & Co

Appoint, appointment, hand, handshake, shake, new, join

Former Clarke Roxburgh managing director Simon Egerton has returned to the insurance industry after a five-year break following the sale of the broker to Jelf in April 2008.  

Egerton will join Worcester-based Sutcliffe & Co Insurance Consultants in a client-facing role later this month.

He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and will bring his chartered status to Sutcliffe & Co.

For the past five years, Egerton has been running one of the county’s largest children’s nurseries with his wife.

Commenting on his new appointment, he said: “I am really looking forward to working with Sutcliffe & Co and returning to insurance broking.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
