Former Towergate broker Matthew Pini joins Direct Insurance

Direct Insurance London Market, the wholesale insurance broking arm of Direct Insurance, has hired former Towergate broker Matthew Pini as a senior broker.

Pini, who spent three years as commercial placement broker at Towergate London Market, will join the niche broker.

Direct Insurance London Market specialises in construction, transportation, engineering and the environment.

Pini has 17 years experience in the London market, spending 15 of those as a placing broker and account executive.

He said: “The London market team at Direct have continued to grow and I’m excited to now be a part of it.”

Direct Insurance Group chief executive David Bearman said: “We were aware of Matthew long before he decided to join our business. He brings with him a wealth of relevant experience and he will be a perfect fit as we move up a gear with our development plans.”
