Gallagher reinsurance team transfers to Capsicum

Arthur J Gallagher’s reinsurance broking team has transferred to Capsicum Re, a reinsurance broker run as a co-venture between Gallagher and Grahame ‘Chily’ Chilton.

The 14-strong AJG Re team, led by managing director Matt FitzGerald, have transferred with immediate effect.

All current and future treaty reinsurance business handled by Gallagher will now be conducted by Capsicum Re.

Gallagher, with the dynamic and entrepreneurial vision of Capsicum Re. It has been a seamless transition and we look forward to working with Chily to enhance our reinsurance capabilities and continue to provide our clients with the best possible service in the market.”

Grahame Chilton, Capsicum Re chief executive, said: “This is a great move forward for Capsicum Re and consolidates our position as Gallagher’s primary treaty reinsurance outlet.
