Gallagher raids Hiscox to appoint Philip Saunders
Arthur J Gallagher UK has hired Philip Saunders from Hiscox to join its 14-strong binding authority unit as divisional director.
He will report in to the unit’s managing director, Des O’Connor, who said: “Our unit has experienced massive year-on-year growth since 2008 and we’re now managing over £300m premium throughput annually.
"Philip will make a valuable addition to the team as we continue to expand the business.”
Saunders added: “I am thrilled to have joined such a strong company and am looking forward to working closely with Des and the other members of the team.
"I am sure that 2011 will continue to be a year of strong growth for AJG and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of the team.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
