Generali, the Italian insurance company, has said that it is not in any talks to buy or merge with any insurer, according to reports that cited an interview with co-chief executive Giovanni Perissinotto.
There has been persistent speculation that Assicurazioni Generali SpA was on the verge of buying UK insurer Aviva.
