Norwich Union (NU) has named George Berrie as intermediary director of its general insurance arm.
Berrie succeeds Ken Wallace, who announced his retirement earlier this month. He will report to Mark Hodges, who was named as managing director of NU General Insurance earlier this month.
NU General Insurance said Berrie has been promoted from his post as director of regional business in the North.
He will be responsible for 2,700 staff across the company's intermediary sector.
