The General Insurance Standards Council (GISC) is to hold a series of presentations in Northern Ireland.

The events take place over a four-day period in Belfast, Newry, Limavady and then back to Belfast.

The presentations by chief executive Chris Woodburn and head of communications Catherine Nicoll will look at:

  • the origins of GISC
  • the views of consumers, industry and the government
  • competition clearance from the OFT
  • key aspects of the rules
  • the planned withdrawal of the ABI code of practice
  • the repeal of the Insurance Brokers Registration Act.
