Capita Insurance Service's business development director Lee Gladwell has resigned from the company to "pursue other options," Capita has confirmed.

A company spokeswoman said Gladwell will continue to be employed by Capita until 31 August while "a handover period takes place".

Gladwell will be replaced by Phil Braithwaite.

Braithwaite has worked at Capita since 1993 across various parts of the insurance division.

His work has specifically focused on commercial business in the London market and specialist divisions.

Gladwell joined Capita in June 2003 from AXA, where he was director of corporate partnerships.

His role at Capita was to push the organisation's account development teams and expand the company's business.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
