Allianz Cornhill Engineering has promoted Michelle Burgess to marketing manager.

She has more than four years' experience within marketing and communications.

During this period she has been involved in both the engineering inspection and insurance, and international corporate risks markets.

GoshawK
GoshawK Syndicate Management (GoshawK), the Lloyd's managing agency of GoshawK Insurance Holdings, has appointend Geoffrey Wilkinson as cargo and specie underwriter.

Wilkinson joins GoshawK from Royal & SunAlliance, where he has been senior cargo underwriter for the past five years. He has more than 15 years of underwriting experience and in joining GoshawK will be responsible for writing the London Market cargo and specie accounts. He has previously worked at Commercial Union and Sun Alliance International.

Allianz Cornhill
Paul Cowlishaw has been appointed Allianz Cornhill development manager, Woking. He joined Allianz Cornhill Maidstone branch as senior business developer in 1998.

The following year he was promoted to development manager, Manchester and more recently has been the account manager for Aon Corporate North.

Coface UK
Coface UK has announced the appointment of a risk director with extensive experience within both commercial and credit underwriting.

Ian Hollyhomes has previously been responsible for implementing corporate risk management and customer retention strategies at Euler Trade Indemnity (ETI). His experience at ETI - both as assistant director, UK risk underwriting and assistant director, commercial underwriting across a range of industry sectors - means he is well placed to drive continued service improvements at Coface UK.

Thompson Heath and Bond
THB Group has acquired the eight-strong US dollar binding authority team, headed by Roy Nadal, from Alexander Forbes.

The Lloyd's broker has also appointed Roy Jones as an account executive to the fleet division, while Lee Price has been promoted to divisional director of the fleet division.

Thompson Heath and Bond (Northern) has appointed Lisa Milnes to its Leeds office to focus on and develop the area of fleet and haulage.

Zoran Novakovic joins the Leeds office as a commercial account manager.

Howden
Howden Insurance Brokers announces that Kevin Culliney, joint managing director of Heath Lambert Financial and Professional Risks, will be joining the company.

Culliney has more than 16 years' experience of the PI market and has managed some of the largest accounts in the UK during this time.

RK Carvill & Co
RK Carvill & Co has appointed Nick Foden-Pattinson as a joint managing director of the company's strategic business development group.

With more than 20 years' experience in the reinsurance business, Foden-Pattinson spent six years with RK Carvill & Co before moving into investment banking.

Ricksons
Ricksons Solicitors, which has offices in Leeds, Preston, Manchester and Birmingham, has appointed David Rogers, insurance litigation lawyer to its partnership, taking it to a total of 26.

Rogers joins Ricksons' Leeds office from Whittles Solicitors, where he was previously head of litigation. He qualified in 1988 and brings with him 14 years of experience in industrial disease litigation.

Office-Shadow
Office-Shadow has appointed Karl DiMascio as commercial director and Don Whyte as sales director.

DiMascio will be responsible for the acquisition of corporate clients and strategic partners. He has a strong background in the information security market with experience spanning eight years. He will also take over the role of operational procedures within Office-Shadow.

Whyte joins from Star Internet where he set up the now well-established London branch of the business

Previously, Whyte was in charge of sales for four years at Lexis-Nexis, one of the world's largest business information companies.

Letsure
Residential lettings insurance and risk specialist Letsure has appointed Manjit Kataora as in-house solicitor.

Kataora qualified as a solicitor in 1996. Since qualifying, he has worked in private practice. His background consists exclusively of litigation both for private clients and major insurers. He will lead Letsure's legal department.

Lime Street Recruitment
Ian Dye has joined Lime Street Recruitment to head up its contract management division. He brings with him a number of years' recruitment experience and a wealth of industry experience, having begun his insurance career as a broker in the Lloyd's Market.

Elite
Elite Incident Management has appointed two business development managers from the fleet and incident management industry, Nigel Tomsett and Matt Chessell.

Both have extensive experience in the fleet industry gained through prior roles as sales and account managers. Primarily their responsibility will be to secure new business with fleet operators.

Tomsett will concentrate on South England and Chessell on the North.

Prior to joining Elite, Nigel Tomsett worked for vehicle management solutions, Arval PHH Accident Management.

Matt Chessell joins Elite from Nationwide Network Services where he was fleet account manager.

ABS
Ian Douglas has been promoted to network services manager four years after joining accident solutions company ABS as an accounts assistant.

He has been part of the ABS network team for more than two years and his new role will see him bring new repair centres into the network as well as tackle central buying initiatives.

Keoghs expands team

Keoghs has appointed two new partners and four new associates.

New partner Pamela Moore and new associate Stratos Gatzouris are both from Bolton and are both members of the special claims unit.

New partner Gary Fitzpatrick is a member of the disease team and specialises in providing advice to insurance companies in a wide range of liability work.

New associates Sarah Butler and Fraser McAndy are both members of Keoghs' defendant personal injury team and are team leaders supervising fast track, RTA and EL/PL work. Claire Beglin deals with defendant personal injury cases but has recently been seconded to the team responsible for developing and implementing a new case management and practice management system.
