Brokers to get commercial documents online

Groupama has launched its online point of sale documentation via the company’s broker extranet, Optima Online.

The insurer's supporting brokers can now get their commercial insurance documents online, including certificates of commercial motor insurance.

The enhancement follows extensive research amongst brokers to identify ways in which Groupama could streamline processes for placing online business.

Brokers have the ability to download or print all their policy documents instantly online, rather than waiting for policy schedules, wordings and certificates to be posted out.

Ken Hutchinson, e-business trading manager for Groupama Insurances, said: “The delivery of point of sale documentation online has very real benefits for brokers. It will not only speed the delivery of their documentation including motor certificates, but will cut down on processes and paperwork.

"This is a further demonstration of Groupama’s commitment to embrace e-commerce to smooth the transaction process for brokers and support them in the provision of a high level of customer service to their clients”.

The insurer said further developments for 2008 include point of sale documents via the imarket portal and the launch of full cycle policy administration on the Optima Online extranet facility, including commercial renewals.

Hutchinson added: “This is the first of a number of exciting initiatives this year that will strengthen our Optima product range even further. It’s all about providing quality, choice and ease of access for our supporting brokers."
