Three new development underwriters appointed

Groupama Insurances has appointed three new regional development underwriters.

  • Steve Scrimgeour (above right) has moved from his role as new business underwriter in London to cover the whole of the South East
  • Peter Bignell (middle right) has joined from Allianz to cover East Anglia and the East Midlands
  • Barry Gibbons (below right) will focus on brokers in the North West

Groupama head of commercial underwriting, Dawn Dillaway (above), said: “This is a tough market and  in order to compete, brokers need swift decisions.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
