Peter Hadden has been promoted to general manager of the international division at Independent. Hadden, who has headed the division throughout 1999 was previously head of marketing and human resources and joined Independent in 1988.
"Peter's promotion reflects the size of the job and the strategic importance of the international division to Independent," said chief executive Michael Bright.
