Insurer in deal worth £150,000
Lloyd's insurer Hampden has acquired a small corporate member for £150,000.
In an announcement to the stock exchange Hampden said the 2008 underwriting capacity of the corporate member is approximately £300,000.
Jeremy Evans, a Hampden Underwriting director, said: "We are pleased to have made this acquisition which, although small, adds to the underwriting capacity we acquired at last year's auctions and is the first implementation of our stated strategy of acquiring corporate members as suitable opportunities arise".
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
