Hastings to provide legal expenses.
Allianz Legal Protection has reached an agreement with Hastings Direct to provide a family legal expenses policy for its household insurance customers.
Under the new arrangement, Allianz Legal Protection will supply the family legal expenses cover for all new Hastings Direct household insurance policies, in addition to the existing renewal book of around 13,000 policies.
Policyholders will be covered for personal injury, clinical negligence and property, employment and consumer contract disputes, as well as gaining access to ‘Lawphone’, Allianz Legal Protection’s legal advice helpline.
Steve Rowley, senior business developer for Allianz Legal Protection, said: “We are very pleased to add Hastings Direct to our scheme portfolio of legal expenses products we provide to IAG’s UK businesses and we look forward to supporting the broker’s continued growth in the UK personal lines market. “
Allianz Legal Protection also provides Hastings Direct’s sister company, Equity Insurance Brokers, providing family legal expenses cover through its direct, affinity and branch network operations.
