Broker follows Crossrail deal by securing another rail contract.

Heath Lambert Group has been appointed as broker to Alstom in the UK including West Coast Traincare.

Alstom is a global leader in equipment and services for power generation and rail transport. In the UK, Alstom employs approximately 5000 people and is a major supplier of trains and services to the UK rail industry, including the high speed tilting Pendolino trains on the West Coast Main Line. Alstom has also supplied 50 per cent of the UK’s installed power generating base.

Mike Hawkes, executive director for transportation at Heath Lambert, commented: “The team is delighted to have been appointed to provide insurance services for Alstom in the UK. We have been appointed in place of Alstom's long-standing UK broker and I believe that this key win is further proof that the team is going from strength to strength. We have recently restructured our teams to ensure that specialist areas are integrated under a single management structure, which has resulted in an even more effective delivery of service for our clients.”

John Tyler, director of insurance and finance at Alstom Ltd, said: “Alstom’s insurance portfolio in the UK has a number of interesting features due to the nature of our business, and we are pleased to be working with Heath Lambert to further enhance the effectiveness of our programme.”
