Move intended to "create further synergies," says chief

Helphire Group has announced the acquisition of Cab Aid, a specialist provider of replacement vehicles to the taxi market

Formed in 2004, Cab Aid, offers a full range of licensed vehicles including hackney carriages, private hire, wheelchair accessible and multi-seater models.

The company provides full claims management services, including vehicle repair, loss of earnings and PI claims handling.

It specialises in the customisation of its replacement vehicles to the specific needs of the relevant local authority.

With head offices in Sutton in Surrey, Cab Aid employs approximately 80 staff, including 30 drivers and has two fleet yards in Sutton and Middleton, North Manchester holding a part owned/part contract hired fleet of 300 vehicles.
