Joe Henderson retains group chief executive role as Michael Wright heads up broker

Henderson Insurance Brokers has named Michael Wright as its new chief executive.

He replaces Joe Henderson, who was performing a dual role as chief executive of Henderson Insurance Broking Group and subsidiary Henderson Insurance Brokers.

Henderson remains group chief executive.

Wright was previously an executive director on Henderson’s board.

Henderson Insurance Brokers has also hired Andy White from Zurich as its new managing director. He replaces Neil Wormald, who has left the company.

Wormald joined Henderson in June 2014 as operations director from Towergate-owned underwriting agency Arista.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
