Highway fraud manager Kerry Furber is leaving the company to join DigiLog, suppliers of voice risk analysis (VRA) systems to the insurance industry.

He will become managing director at DigiLog.

Furber was responsible for developing an advanced VRA solution at Highway, which will now be introduced to the market via DigiLog.

Furber said: "The solution has proved to be unbelievably effective, so much so that we've decided to take it to the market."

He added that DigiLog had already signed up an insurer to the new VRA solution, which consisted of software as well as advanced analysis techniques.

Furber will be retained by Highway as a senior fraud risk consultant.

His departure follows the announcement last week that the Highway Group lost £2.6m in 2002, against a £10.5m profit in 2001.
