Highway is giving away £7,000 to employees who think of good ideas to improve the company.

There is a top prize of £2,500 which will be awarded to a “key player” who develops the most effective idea, but which is also in line with Highway's corporate objectives.

Quin Lovis, underwriter at Highway, said: “We have always worked hard to ensure that we have an open management structure and encourage all employees to play an active role in the running of the company and how it can be improved.

“A good idea can come from anywhere and with more than 400 employees across the country, we encourage them to contribute as much as possible.”

Highway has six categories for awards, including customer care, best department, innovation, appraisal, training, and most improved department.

Each category carries a prize of £750 and Highway's twelve branch managers will make nominations for the “key player” award.

Winners will not necessarily be those whose ideas have the biggest impact, as overall commitment and effort will also be considered.

The prizes will be awarded in August.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
