Hill Dickinson attracted to ‘ready-formed’ team with a combined 32 years’ experience in complex fraud investigation

Hill Dickinson Counter Fraud Group (HFCFG) has hired five members of the Aviva fraud team following the closure of their Manchester office last month.

Hill Dickinson says the new fraud team will strengthen its counter-fraud group’s complex investigation capabilities and will support its drive to increase the detection of established and emerging fraud rings in 2014.

Matthew Geary the ex-fraud manager from Aviva said: “We had the privilege to work with and meet a lot of top class firms in our time with Aviva, and Hill Dickinson always stood out with their passion for fraud prevention and innovation.

“That’s exactly the culture we wanted to work in. We are really excited to be here and to have the chance to use and increase our skill sets. For the first time, we have a proverbial treasure trove of systems and options to help us investigate complex fraud more efficiently and successfully. ”

Hill Dickinson head of fraud Peter Oakes said the company was attracted to the team because it was “ready-formed” and well known in the market for its breadth of experience and skills.

Oakes added: “Their appetite and experience in proactively tackling complex motor insurance fraud further enhances the HDCFG offering for 2014, building on the collective and individual strengths within our newly expanded team. We are delighted they have chosen to further their careers with us.”
