Derrick Potton appointed to manage Colchester branch
Hiscox has appointed Derrick Potton as regional manager of its Colchester branch.
Potton has over 10 years’ experience in the UK insurance industry, and joins from Chubb, where he led the Reading-based specialty lines team.
At Hiscox, Potton will be responsible for the team underwriting commercial and personal lines business in Cambridgeshire, Essex, East Anglia, Hertfordshire and Kent.
Potton replaces former branch manager Ross Dingwall, who has been promoted to national sales manager, charged with developing the UK sales strategy.
Commenting on his new role, Potton said: “The ambition and vision of Hiscox is incredibly appealing; it is investing in growth with new advertising, staff and infrastructure. It is where I want to be.”
