New building to be company’s northern hub

Hiscox today officially opens its new office in York.

The £19m building is to house Hiscox’s underwriting, claims, customer services, IT, HR and other operational roles as well as what it describes as its Customer Experience Centre for the North of England.

Hiscox said the building will eventually become the its biggest office in the UK outside London and employ up to 500 people. It currently houses 230 employees.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
