Hiscox poaches UK finance chief from Pru

Hiscox has landed a recruitment coup by poaching Prudential’s UK and European financial officer.

Hiscox has landed Hamayou Akbar Hussain, known as Aki, to head up its finance.

Hussain will lead the and development of the financial team and oversee the insurer’s investments.

Bronek Masojada, chief executive of Hiscox, said: “Mr Hussain will be an excellent addition to our executive team, bringing first-class financial services experience, strong regulatory exposure, and a fresh perspective.  I believe we can learn a great deal from him and look forward to welcoming him aboard.”
