Chief executive Martyn Capewell to step down from motor insurer

Insurance Times understands that HSBC Insurance chief executive Martyn Capewell is to step down, together with members of his senior management team.

HSBC Insurance, formerly known as Corinthian Insurance, has been thought to have been on the market for some time.

An HSBC spokesman would not be drawn on Capewell’s departure, but said: “We have been reviewing a range of options for this business for some time and the review is ongoing currently. For the time being, it is ‘business-as-usual’ for our customers and our staff.”
