Power cuts after line torn down, homed flooded, boats lost

Hurricane Igor, described by the US National Hurricane Center as "very large" hit the British overseas territory of Bermuda on Sunday, felling trees and power lines, Reuters reports.

Winds hit 75mph, causing power cuts, flooding and boats torn free from moorings.

Bermuda Premier Ewart Brown had warned residents to brace for "one of the worst hurricanes to ever threaten our shores".
