Changes to meet demand from the market

Specialist UK general insurer, IGI Group has revamped its touring caravan product.

The revised policy was introduced at the beginning of February and is now available through IGI's online system www.igionline.co.uk .

Keith Wardell, chief executive of the Group, said it had been added in response to demand from the market.

He said: "We listened to the feedback we received on our existing product and this enabled us to tailor the existing cover to the needs of the market and helps ensure we keep our position as one of the market leaders for this niche area of cover."

The policy enhancements increase the sum insured to £20,000, a figure which combines the caravan and awning value. It includes a no claims discount and offers cover for a selection of European caravans.

Keith added: "This product is available online for the first time, allowing brokers to access the system 24 hours a day as well as obtain a quick indication of premium.

"Our brokers can also refer cases using IGI's unique mail facility and can print off all policy documents within five minutes of completing a transaction."

The new offering is yet another part of IGI's growth strategy and complements the appointment of Nicola Hickling and Mark Searcy to its sales and marketing team.
