Legal & General has devised a software system that enables brokers to provide a bespoke package of cover for individual clients' personal and mortgage protection needs.
Protection Choices produces individual quotations using a compact disc at the point of sale.
Clients are charged a single fee for all benefits, ensuring savings in critical illness and mortgage payment protection insurance. There is also direct access to L&G's underwriting team.
Richard Verdin, director of mortgage and protection at L&G, said the software tool delivered a high degree of flexibility that would enable brokers to compete effectively on price.
