Internet specialist Insure-com is to distribute its desktop business software free to registered intermediaries in the UK.

The windows-based package has a link to the Insure-com internet portal which gives access to online comparative quotations and insurance data on using the insur-E.connect quotation system.

The software also offers full-cycle EDI processing and point-of-sale documentation. Back office functions performed by the software include financial accounting, document and diary management, delegated schemes, claims handling and management reporting.

“From the outset we said that Insure-com would exploit the internet to provide the insurance industry, that's both insurers and intermediaries, with the most cost-effective business system,” said Insure-com's managing director, Ralph Ehlers.

Five insurers – Zurich, Cornhill, Crowe, Link and MMA – have confirmed partnerships with Insure-com and the company is in talks with a further 22 insurers, including Norwich Union, Royal & Sunalliance and Groupama.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
