Appointment to focus on developing energy business

International insurance brokerage and risk management firm, Integro, announced the addition of Guy Bessis as managing principal with the firm’s newly established international insurance and reinsurance unit in London.

Bessis will focus on developing business from Continental Europe and South Africa and developing Integro’s capability in the energy sector.

Bessis brings more than 25 years industry experience to Integro, including 17 years at the Willis Group, where he rose to director of Willis, managing director of global markets and chairman of Willis energy.

“Guy’s successful track record developing solutions for complex risks and his extensive knowledge of the energy market complement Integro’s existing skill sets,” said Ron Whyte, co-leader of the new unit.

Julian Samengo-Turner, unit co-leader, added, “We are delighted to welcome Guy’s expertise and his zeal and enthusiasm. He is a natural fit with Integro’s entrepreneurial culture.”

Bessis said: “Integro is attracting the industry’s best professionals and I am very excited to join the team as we continue building our international platform.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
