Calls to Insurance Confidential double – mainly car claims

Calls to the Irish Insurance Federation’s Insurance Confidential fraud hotline have doubled to 560, with 229 (41%) about injuries from car accidents and 15% about car damage, the Irish Independent reports.

One in seven calls were about public liability claims and one in eight about household claims.

The hotline set up six years ago.
