ARB Underwriting Ltd will be well placed if Britain joins the Euro after its Irish parent company updated its IT system to ensure compliance with the currency next year.
Irish insurance company ARB Underwriting has signed a two-year contract with Midas IT Services to ensure Euro compliance and receive support as the currency change takes place in Ireland and the rest of the Eurozone.
Midas IT Services director Andy Rendell said: “A non-Euro version will be used at ARB's Southampton office for business in Britain, however the system is flexible and should the UK move to the single currency adaptations may be implemented.”
Cathal O'Brien, ARB Underwriting Ltd's managing director, said: “Midas' work will ensure that we lose no business as the changes come in January. Our system has been tested and we are ready for the Euro rollout.”
