James Hampden Insurance Brokers reported net earnings of £2.6m for the year to 30 Spetember 2003, up from £1.6m in 2002.
Its pretax profits almost doubled to £625,000.
Chairman and chief executive officer Simon Hall said: “2003 was a very good year for James Hampden. We have benefited fully from our accredited Lloyd's broker status which has provided us with superb business development opportunities that we intend to develop in the future.
“We look forward very much to full Lloyd's broker status being attained in 2004”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
