New managing director to target "attractive" personal lines sector
Jelf Insurance Brokers has confirmed the appointment of Antony Summers as managing director for its personal lines business.
Last week, Insurance Times reported that Summers had been hired by Jelf to grow its personal lines business.
He was previously sales director responsible for building the personal lines business within Jelf Clarke Roxburgh.
Summers said: “I’m delighted to have this opportunity. We have great teams of people working in all parts of the business. My aim will be to pool this talent and expertise to create a winning proposition. An important part of this will be working with the insurers to maximize Jelf’s buying power to develop enhanced products and services for our clients.”
He will report to Phil Barton, chief executive of the insurance division, who said: “The personal lines market remains an attractive segment for Jelf and represents an essential element of our strategy to become the leading insurance broker within our chosen communities.
"We had a strong year thanks to the hard work of our staff. I have no doubt Antony will harness that commitment and grow the business in the coming year.”
