Parker joins from Oval as business development manager

Jelf Insurance Brokers has appointed Tony Parker as business development manager for private clients as it seeks to boost its mid and high net worth proposition.

Reporting directly to Jelf’s insurance chief executive Phil Barton, Parker will lead the design and implementation of the group’s mid (MNW) and high net worth (HNW) strategy, which includes plans to break into the London market and develop an integrated proposition for its financial planning, healthcare and employee benefits clients.

Parker’s experience spans more than 30 years in roles at leading organisations including Oval, JLT, Willis and HSBC.

Parker said: “It is a great time to be joining Jelf. The ethos and passion within the business to create an outstanding proposition that is ahead of the market, coupled with the support to develop a strategy to achieve it, presented a fantastic opportunity.

“I am confident we will build a market-leading business that delivers value to colleagues, clients, prospects and partners on local, regional and national levels.”

Barton said: “Our aim is to be the leading insurance broker in the communities in which we operate, and we want to raise the bar in the MNW/HNW arena.

“Tony’s commitment to client service and technical excellence is exceptional and directly in line with what we are achieving within our business. I have no doubt that Tony will deliver what we set out to achieve.”
