Revenues expected to hit £36m for general underwriter
Jardine LIoyd Thompson’s managing general underwriter, Thistle, will see revenues top £36m in 2010, the broker predicted this week.
Thistle chief executive James Gerry said that, following the acquisition of Ingham Underwriting in June 2009, more retail businesses would be integrated into the Thistle model, making for a “significant and immediate growth”.
Elsewhere, JLT announced that revenue had increased by 14%, including 5% organic growth to £612.9m, with trading profit up 28% to £97.1m.
“When you compare it to the likes of Marsh, Willis and Aon, that is a pretty impressive number,” JLT chief executive Dominic Burke said.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
