Kiln has announced that the underwriting capacity of its four syndicates increased from £681m in 2004 to £704m in 2005.
It's Lloyd's subsidiary RJ Kiln & Co said it had stable or improving forecasts for the 2002 and 2003 years of account across all four of it's syndicates.
The company said underwriting conditions “remained strong and rates are holding firm, showing modest increases in some areas since the hurricanes of the third quarter.”
The company met its pre-emption target of a 7.5% increases in capacity for its flagship syndicate 510, increasing its capacity to £546m for 2005 from £508 in 2004.
